 Lombard Street – the “crookedest street in the world” was created so that horses could pull heavy carriges up the very steep hill. The crooked bit is only one block but spectacular. |
 Cable car turning around. Cable cars were also created in SF to deal with the steep hills. The inventor came up with the idea after witnessing an horrific accident where a horse pulling a cart slipped on ice and crashed to the bottom of the hill. |

USA – Lynn and Scott’s Wedding
Little more needs to be said about the wedding other than that it was a real credit to everyone who took part in the organisation. It’s not often that such an event goes without a hitch (apart from the obvious one) but this was just such a wedding. From our point of view, it was great to catch up with all the family and to have such a fun time in the process was a real plus (although not unexpected given the family)!
