USA – San Francisco

Golden Gate Bridge

Golden Gate Bridge with Rob

Lombard Street – the “crookedest street in the world” was created so that horses could pull heavy carriges up the very steep hill. The crooked bit is only one block but spectacular.

Cable car turning around. Cable cars were also created in SF to deal with the steep hills. The inventor came up with the idea after witnessing an horrific accident where a horse pulling a cart slipped on ice and crashed to the bottom of the hill.

USA – Lynn and Scott’s Wedding

Little more needs to be said about the wedding other than that it was a real credit to everyone who took part in the organisation. It’s not often that such an event goes without a hitch (apart from the obvious one) but this was just such a wedding. From our point of view, it was great to catch up with all the family and to have such a fun time in the process was a real plus (although not unexpected given the family)!

Angelica and Gianni’s visit

During the “whiplash tour” first week of their honeymoon, Angelica and Gianni make a lightning visit to casadellawilson…

Many thanks to Natasha for the photography. Click on any image to get a larger version…

Who’s who?
Thought we’d include a bit of a who’s who to jog the memory… If you look at the last group shot, it will make this easier.

From the left…
– Josh is Anna’s boyfriend and Anna and Kris are Noris’ kids (Genevieve is the oldest but is in the USA).
– casadellawilson is Rob and Nadia’s place
– Gabby, Natasha and Zac are Levis and Anne-Marie’s (see the previous group shot) kids (Tanya is the oldest but couldn’t be at the party).
– …and, Gianni is Angelica’s husband.

Paul Schaff’s 50th

It was a 50s theme party and Rob and Nadia went all out to fit in. We also won the best dressed prize!

Getting ready at Craig and Allanah-Rei’s…

Kris and Anna (in Brisbane)

Huffed and puffed all the way up here…

So I had to take a few photos to prove it.

Dana’s 18th in Kyogle

Once again, Paul and Claire et al came through with a brilliant party for their daughter, Dana’s, 18th birthday on their property just outside Kyogle. The photos below don’t really do the evening justice but we include them to give an idea of the festivities. Click on the photos for a better view…

The crowd at dinner in the marquee erected for the occasion…

More of the crowd

Some Wilsons and others

Glen, Uncle Bruce and Claire of the Sydney Wilsons

Claire – our hostess with the mostest

Us – just to prove we were there…

Aunty Judi

Dana – well, most of Dana. We’ll call it an art shot, shall we!

More partying…

Martin and Kelly

Paul – our host for the evening. And the speeches begin…

and the speeches continue…

Jess – never afraid of a theme party. Did I mention, it was a Christmas in July party?

as is tradition in these parts… Claire had composed a poem… and what a poem!

Dana feels more comfortable behind the video camera

the poem continues and the crowd hangs on every word…

…through funny bits…

…and funnier bits…

…and even funnier bits…

…and some embarassing bits – of course…

…the poem finishes…

…the cake comes out…

…the candles are blown out…

…and it’s time to respond.

…and then presents…

…and more presents.

Next day, it’s the usual suspects, hard at work.

Tanya’s 21st

and a belated Happy Birthday Tanya! Sorry for the delay in getting these up to the site… Click on any of the images for a closer look.

…and the fun begins…

Ann-Marie composed a quiz on Tanya’s favourite things (candy bar, actress, drink… you get the idea)… and the real question is… “how well DOES Tanya know Tanya?”

The dreaded book of memorabilia from day 1 to now.

No cheating on the quiz, ‘Tasha!

“I know this one!”

Andrew’s Mum and Dad

Tanya’s Mum and Dad (not the best shot, sorry)

OH MY GOD!!!!!! Kris does have a mobile and not just a number!

Don’t get in the way, you could lose a limb!

they say you should watch what you eat!

…and when it’s all too much (or it just gets too late), the best of them just drop where they stand (sit)…

…and the cake arrives

Oh my God… SO many candles

…and as the smoke settles…

…the bear watches closely and is very worried

Once more for the camera…

Oh Kris, so shy?
